Photo Bomb The King
On 14th January 2017 members of We Love Bury St Edmunds, met in the Great Churchard to Photo Bomb The King for the 3rd time!
Photo Bomb The King 2016
We had held a similar event in January 2016, and wanted to repeat this fun day. The 2016 Photo Bomb had taken place when the Facebook Group had ana amzing 9,000 members and was only 30 days old.
The Facebook Group now has over 14,000 members, many in Bury St Edmunds, but also all over the country, and all over the world. We are very proud to be associated with such a great town with so much to offer. We have reconnected so many friends, and made many new ones too.
A Number Of Elements
To Photo Bomb the King 2017, a number of elements had to come together. The weather… Nice bright day, very cold but at least it was dry and we had a great blue sky. The photographers, I had made no provision for these, relying on great people to organise the best photographers around like Andy Abbott who works free lance for the Bury Free Press and The East Anglian Daily Times.
We also needed the people to turn up, and they did. A great bunch of people, who love to get out and meet others, and reconnect with their friends. We were also graced by the presence of Mrs Brown, the 1926 Humber, owned by Mr and Mrs Guest. We were also very lucky to have Julia Wakelam, the Mayor of St Edmundsbury attend as well.
The rest, as you could say, is now history. After the Galleries, there is also a video of the afternoons events.
