Explore… Public Houses & Bars

A Wide Variety of Public Houses

Public Houses – Pubcrawl If we could turn time back, I would start at my old local: The Greengage.

I would like to see the old “gang” from the mid-’60s, and here I am trying hard to remember all names – hope I haven’t forgotten them all: Peter, Colin, Bernard, another Peter, David.

What memories, especially the Ipswich Town fraction: Peter, Colin and Bernard.

We have seen some great matches together – and have enjoyed a pub crawl by road on our way home from Portman Road!! (I was the only one who had a car, so I can remember the trips fully!! (No alcohol :-()

Miss The Falcon so many good times thereafter college yes it was Greene King, but still a lovely pub.

William James

Sure I see Burys Mr Stump-Sculptor (John Williams) making a start on the poor old oak in front of the pub in Ingham this morning.

There was a tower ready for him, It’s going to be a big one!

Can you remember when you were first served food in a BASKET? My first experience of this was in the late ’70s, scampi & chips in the Grapes pub.

Martyn Adams

Can anyone remember the name of the pub over the road from the police station on Raingate street?

Anthony Bird

If anyone comes across the picture of The Billy (King William) pub could they bump it up to the top for me, please? I’ve spent ages looking for it and can’t find the post. Thanks, 🙂

Do anyone remember the Dolphin pub in Cannon Street.
