Emma Torfinn trained in fashion at Leeds and worked in London for nearly 20 years with some of Europe’s largest fashion houses.
Moving out to the country with a young family, Emma pursued her passion for drawing, and her unique style (creating fresh contemporary paintings in ink and gouache) evolved and took off.
Emma is drawn to historical landmarks, buildings and her stunning local coastline, ‘there is always a new view or angle to be captured, drawn and highlighted with a pop of colour’. Each drawing is uniquely hand painted to give the owner an original piece of work.
Torfinn Art can be found in the lovely ‘Folk Cafe’ in Fornham, Bury St Edmunds, Greene King cafe in Bury St Edmunds and throughout the year at various craft fayres – including March Hare Collective in Ickworth, Ivy Joan in Bury St Edmunds and the Blackthorpe Barn Christmas market.
Emma is currently working on a collection of ‘Wedding Venue’ drawings which have proved to be an ideal gift for bride and groom – personalised with the couple’s name and date of wedding.
