Upcycling to me is all about giving new life to items which have become tired and obsolete.
Many items which were hand-made by craftsmen and were genuinely built to last are being discarded just because they are no longer fashionable.
Rather than being thrown out why not enhance their original beauty and craftsmanship and take the time to update and where necessary re-purpose them.
I have a 20+ year history as a designer in the Theatre and Music Industry which has developed my creative and practical skills allowing me to create imaginative and beautiful items finished to the highest standards.
The advantages of upcycling are both creatively and environmentally friendly.
Tastes, fashions and styles have changed dramatically over the years and will continue to do so as have the requirements and demands of society.
Some things however will always remain the same such as the value of quality not only of craftsmanship but of materials.
