Wigwam® Holidays Maglia Rosso is set in the beautiful, unspoilt Suffolk countryside in the village of Hawstead, just four miles south of Bury St Edmunds.

Our south-facing cabins are set in a five-acre meadow adjacent to the former village pub, now operating as a cycling centre and licensed country café. We’re very family-friendly, with a children’s play area and plenty of space for families to enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings.

If you fancy venturing further afield, you’ve got easy access to nearby attractions through a network of quiet country roads, linking us to Bury St Edmunds and other beautiful towns and villages, such as Lavenham, Clare, Long Melford and Newmarket.

Enjoy life at a leisurely pace at Maglia Rosso
There’s no need to venture far from your Wigwam® Cabin to make some lovely holiday memories: the Maglia Rosso cafe and cycle centre, as well as the area around Hawstead village, offers plenty of fun for the whole family! The cycling centre is open seven days a week, with a cyclocross track perfect for those craving a bit of adrenaline, while the café serves breakfast, lunch and drinks.

The small village of Hawstead offers plenty of pastoral walks around it for a chance to reconnect with nature. Venture along the banks of the River Lark or hire bikes from us and explore the small winding country roads all around you.

Discover Bury St Edmunds
The historic town of Bury St Edmunds is just a few miles from the Maglia Rosso glamping site and is easily reached by car or bicycle. The town is richly steeped in history, playing a role in the stories of the Magna Carta and St Edmund.

The medieval streets are full of award-winning restaurants, cafés and gastropubs sure to please the most discerning of palates and the town’s several spas offer a bit of pampering to elevate your holiday. Visit the Abbey Gardens to enjoy some lush greenery, from the Pilgrim’s Herb Garden to the Appleby Rose Garden and The Garden of Reflection.
