Bury St Edmunds is a market town found within the county of Suffolk. Like many villages throughout the area, this town is somewhat famous for its role within the brewing industry. It has also become an important hub in the production of sugar. Interestingly enough, Bury St Edmunds is also known as being the home of the first internally-lit motorway sign (introduced in 1935).
Some contemporary attractions include St. Mary’s Church, Abbey Gardens, the retail district located along St. John’s Street, and a large tower that dates back to Norman times. Visitors will often select Enterprise Rent-A-Car services due to the variety of vehicles alongside competitive pricing packages.
The nearest offices to the city centre are found on Prospect Row, approximately five minutes by car from route A14. The train station of Bury St Edmunds is another option and from here, a local taxi service will provide transportation to Prospect Row.
A bus station on St. Andrew’s Street North can likewise provide mass transit options between the town and other nearby cities, such as Brandon and Cambridge.
